IPL 2026 Final: When was the last time a team won back-to-back IPL titles?
RCB Targeting Consecutive IPL Titles
BAJI LIVE Royal Challengers Bengaluru are aiming to secure their second consecutive IPL trophy as they face Gujarat Titans in the IPL 2026 Final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on May 31. If they succeed, they will become only the third franchise in IPL history to win back-to-back championships.
Past Back-to-Back IPL Champions: MI and CSK
Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings are the only teams to have achieved consecutive IPL titles so far. MI most recently accomplished the feat by defeating CSK in the 2019 final by one run, followed by a five-wicket victory over Delhi Capitals in the 2020 final. CSK earlier won back-to-back titles in 2010 and 2011, beating MI by 22 runs in the first final and RCB by 58 runs in the second.
Gujarat Titans and Near Miss in 2023
Gujarat Titans, who will face RCB in the 2026 final, came extremely close to achieving consecutive titles themselves in 2023 after winning the championship in 2022. However, they fell just short of repeating the feat, missing out by only a couple of deliveries.
